Hon. Mark Jerome Anthony DL. Santiago
President, Provincial Youth Council

At a very young age of 15, Board Member Mac Mac has been indeed very lucky to be propelled as a Sangguniang Panlalawigan legislator. As fate would have it, he was elected as the new Sangguniang Kabataan Provincial Federation president, winning over his rivals in an election held last November 2010. With his election, he automatically assumed his position as an ex-officio board member of the provincial legislative body.

Board Member Mac Mac hails from Sta. Ines, Plaridel, Bulacan and is currently studying, now on his third year, at the St. James Academy in the town of Plaridel. Born on September 10, 1995, he is the only child, “unico hijo,” of couple Ernesto Santiago and Editha De Leon.

Oozing with vigor and enthusiasm, this young boy is hopeful that he will quickly learn the ABCs of the parliamentary and the legislation process so that, like his predecessors, he can be a useful and an indispensable cog in the wheels of our local legislative system.

“As your youngest brother in this august body, I hope that my grown-up colleagues will guide and support me in my desire to push for the implementation of valuable projects for the upliftment and welfare our youth. I also hope that they will join hands with me in the pursuit of various youth programs, especially in efforts towards good moral and character formation of our youth to become better citizens of our beloved province,” he expressed with confidence.

He assumed his position as an ex-officio member on December 10, 2010. He presently chairs the Committee on Youth and Sports Development.
